Operation Crystal Guard – What to expect https://esportsview.fr/en/operation-crystal-guard-what-to-expect/ Mon, 16 Aug 2021 14:42:16 +0000 https://esportsview.fr/?p=6244 Operation Crystal Guard is the next operation to make its appearance on Rainbow Six Siege. Croatia is in the spotlight with Engineering Specialist Osa, the new attacker joining Team Rainbow. Thanks a lot to Ubisoft for allowing us to preview this new content once again.

Who is Osa?

Osa, straight from Croatia, reinforces the ranks of the attack side. Particularly creative and passionate about technology, she quickly specialized in robotic engineering. Her excellent engineering skills caught Kali’s attention and made her join the Nighthaven unit. Her creativity and taste for aesthetics led her to create Aruni’s prostheses, Kali’s Masterframe uniform and Ace’s Sappers, not to mention the design of Wamai’s Mag-NET system.

When it comes to her gear, you will be familiar with Osa’s weapons as you can choose between Thermite’s rifle and Jackal’s rifle. But what interests us is of course her gadget. Osa developed a transparent defensive shield named Talon-8 Clear Shield. Are you a fan of Mira in defense? Osa’s shield is bulletproof, and its composition makes it light to move and quick to deploy. This can be deployed on the ground or on a window or a door. You can also move around with the shield, it will protect your head but your legs will remain vulnerable to bullets, you cannot sprint with the shield deployed, melee or shoot.

Holding a secured line is now possible for attackers with this shield. And if you want to get rid of the Talon-8, all you have to do is destroy it by shooting its gas cylinder.

Three maps’ reworks

This season, the developers have reworked three iconic maps, Bank, Club House and Coastline, in particular to improve outdoor traffic and correct some elements of the decor that could be problematic.

Here is a video showing you in more detail the improvements made to these three maps.

Other updates

Sledge

How surprised we were when we found out that Sledge was losing his SMG-11 during our play session. SMG fans, however don’t worry, Mute and Smoke are keeping it.

Twitch

Our national Emmanuelle Pichon dreamed of it, we too, her electrocution drone will now be able to jump! On the other hand, you will no longer pilot this drone in the preparation phase but a standard drone like the other attackers.

IQ

Welcome to IQ 2.0! The German attacker benefits from the new ping system implemented a few months ago by using her gadget. IQ’s Electronics Detector is now equipped with the Ping System 2.0, allowing her to identify and ping electronic devices through walls, including those held by operators like the counter diffuser and Vigil’s ERC-7.

Fuze

Russia is at the top in Rainbow Six Siege! After the double improvement brought to Tachanka on his Shumika launcher, Fuze will now be able to use his charges on reinforced walls, without forgetting the hatches of course! However, the explosion time will be extended unlike an unreinforced wall. You will not be able to use your charges on electrified walls.

Mute

The area of effect for Mute’s Signal Disruptor is now spherical instead of cylindrical, and the device lights up when active.

DBNO scoring

Players will now get a kill score when they down or completely eliminate an opponent. Players will receive an assist score when they eliminate an opponent who was already downed by a teammate. The kill feed will display the name of the last player to damage the opponent, whether or not they got a kill or assist.

Elite customization

Do you have elite outfits in your inventory? You will now be able to mix the outfits of your agents as you wish. Who has not dreamed of seeing the victory animation of Tachanka dressed as a unicorn? Admit it, you smiled!

Lion Elite Skin

Lion is the new agent to be given an elite outfit. Not just any, since this is a Resident Evil outfit. Zofia will be delighted to find another S.T.A.R.S. colleague! The Elite Lion Outfit will be available on August 17th.

Detection of opponents

To improve visual comfort and avoid disloyal camouflage for some players depending on the uniforms used, a rim light will now be added around opponents. This feature will be enabled by default and can be disabled for those who wish.

Flash system

The blindness from flash grenades, Ying’s candelas, or against Blitz’s shield was not precise enough. In this new season, an algorithm will calculate the duration of the flash. It takes the environment and angle of the explosion into account as well as player’s distance and orientation. This increases the reliability of the flash effect.

New distribution of ranked players

The team detected a trend where Ranked players who reach Platinum don’t play as much to reach Diamond. For this reason, Platinum now has smaller gaps between skill ranks, and more skill ranks have been added to Diamond, so high level players can climb skill ranks faster and have a greater sense of progression.

New Platinum gaps (old ones in parenthesis):

  • Plat III – 3200 (3200)
  • Plat II – 3500 (3600)
  • Plat I – 3800 (4000)

New Diamond gaps and skill ranks:

  • Diamond III – 4100
  • Diamond II – 4400
  • Diamond I – 4700

This is not Ranked 2.0 – that feature will require more changes and will come at a later date.

Map pool and Ranked

This Operation Crystal Guard brings something new to this map pool. Favela was already added in the middle of the last North Star season and it won’t be alone! Bank, Club House and Coastline reworks will be on hand. A breath of fresh air is blowing over this ranked season.

Seasonal charms are futuristic inspiration with beautiful neon shades offered.

Operation Crystal Guard is all about technology, Osa brings a defensive bonus with his sizable Talon-8 transparent shield for attackers that will shake more than one defender.

The new Operation Crystal Guard is to be tested on the TTS from August 17, 2021.

Operation Crimson Heist – What to expect https://esportsview.fr/en/operation-crimson-heist-what-to-expect/ Sun, 21 Feb 2021 20:44:35 +0000 https://esportsview.fr/?p=5576 Operation Crimson Heist is coming to Rainbow Six Siege soon! Flores, a genius of banditry joins the team of attackers with his detonating drone! The entire Esix team thanks Ubisoft for allowing us to test the first season of year 6!

Who is Flores?

Flores is the new attacker of this Operation Crimson Heist who brings with him a real breath of fresh air in Rainbow Six Siege. He is the Robin Hood of modern times straight from Argentina. Sole responsible for supporting his ailing mother, he quits his civil service job and leaves military school to engage himself in organized crime full time. His credo: to steal from powerful criminals and redistribute the profits to the poorest.

Concerning his equipment, our gentleman burglar has developed a remotely controllable explosive device. With the help of several members of Team Rainbow, he came up with the idea of placing RCE-Ratero charges on a drone he pilotes until the countdown starts and BOOM! The gadget explosion is similar to C4 however it does not have the same scope. But the explosion can be very useful for creating rotations or playing vertically on destructible grounds which makes it a very ingenious gadget.

This is also indestructible when the RCE-Ratero charge is armed before its explosion (three seconds before detonation). But the drone can be neutralized in several ways by the defender.

First option, the player can shoot the drone to destroy it like all other drones. Mute has the possibility to make it inactive like any other drone, Bandit can also destroy it with its batteries. Only Mozzie cannot capture his drone.

Border’s rework

Border, which was withdrawn from the competitive map pool a few months ago, returns in this new season with a revamped design. The lack of rotations in the map enclosure has been corrected, the various rooms are now more streamlined. There is now less destructible furniture and accessories for more visual comfort. The noise of the helicopters has been reduced, and the memorable voice you could hear will now be cut off during the action phase. Check out the Border rework in the video below.

Other updates

Replay Match beta mode arrives

It was announced last year during the last Six Invitational 2020, the Replay mode of your games lands in Beta mode during Operation Crimson Heist. You will now have the opportunity to review each round of your previous matches in order to better understand certain situations during the game.

Novice Playlist Rework

For new players, changes are made to the Novice playlist. In order to facilitate the experience of novice players, the maps of the playlist have evolved in order to improve the transition of new players to the more competitive modes in order to better understand the maps and not to be caught off guard to avoid penalizing their team.

Evolution of the visual overview of in-game information

Players will be better informed about the status of different gadgets, visual in-game information will identify a gadget neutralized by a mute jammer. We also learn that Nomad’s Airjab will be neutralized by the jammer in the future.

New elite skin

Kali’s turn to equip herself with an elite outfit. This will be available this season.

Map pool and Ranked

Who says new season, says new map pool! The Border rework is added to the maps’ list.

The seasonal charms are in the theme of the new Heist-inspired Operation.

Get ready now because Operation Crimson Heist is coming and promises you some explosive moments!

The new Operation Crimson Heist is to be tested on the TTS from February 22nd 2021.

Operation Neon Dawn – What to expect https://esportsview.fr/en/operation-neon-dawn-presentation/ Sun, 08 Nov 2020 16:19:19 +0000 https://esportsview.fr/?p=5265 Operation Neon Dawn will be the next season to land on Rainbow Six Siege! Thai agent Aruni comes to strengthen the rank of defenders with her ability to manipulate lasers to perfection. Ubisoft allowed ESIX’s team to experience this new content so we tell you more about it.

Who is Aruni?

Aruni is the new defender coming out with Operation Neon Dawn. Her quick wit got her noticed by the Royal Thai Police and earned her as much respect from the authorities as being feared by the country’s criminals. In a high-risk operation in Bangkok alongside Thermite, she became close to dying and lost the use of two of her limbs. With the help of Kali welcoming her into Nighthaven, she gained access to new technologies that allowed her to replace her lost arm and leg. With her two newly placed prosthetis, she now moves gracefully and effortlessly and masters her environment to perfection.

Her icon is a lotus flower and it not chosen at random. The lotus is an Asian flower, symbol of spiritual purity in the image of Aruni, philanthropist, with the will to educate the public about the victims of wars and abandoned mines after conflict.

Regarding her equipment, for you trap lovers you will be delighted! Kapkan followers, you will love Aruni with her style of play! With the help of Twitch, Aruni has perfected her gadget so that it is no longer just an alarm but a real defense system. Her Surya Gate is placed on walls or entry points and projects lasers after its deployment. These deactivate after inflicting damage on other opponents or other gadgets. It can then be reactivated by defenders by shooting at it.

*barbed wire and alarm: equipment subject to change

With this new gadget, Aruni brings a new and rather effective defense system to prevent any intrusion on site. Her equipment is equally formidable since you will have the choice between Mozzie’s P10 Roni or Dokkaebi’s MK14 EBR as a main weapon which will be accompanied by the PRB92, BOPE and Nomad’s handgun. Plus, as an agent balanced in both speed and armor, the choice is entirely yours to make Aruni a formidable defender.

Skyscraper’s rework

As announced by Ubisoft during the last Six Invitational, this season marks the rework Skyscraper. An extension of the decor, a removed balcony, completely revised rooms, all of this can be seen in the video below

Other updates about operators

ASH

When we tested Operation Neon Dawn, we observed a change in Ash’s loadout. Her flash grenades were replaced by a claymore.

ECHO

Regarding Echo, a major change is taking place with his Yokai drone. It will no longer be invisible. The goal is to make the player’s placement of Yokai drones more strategic.

JÄGER

A major change is taking place with Jäger regarding his gadget. Indeed, ADS previously intercepted all projectiles without any delay between them. The active defense system was systematically disarmed after destroying two projectiles.

In the next season, that will no longer be the case. The gadget will be able to destroy as many projectiles in an unlimited way. But in return, which is not the least, the ADS will be able to intercept the first projectile but will not be operational again until ten seconds after the interception of the projectile. The goal is to make the placement of the gadget more strategic.

ADS is a test version and will be subject to change following testing on the TTS server.

HIBANA

Hibana’s X-KAIROS benefits from a pretty smart and practical upgrade. Gamers dreamed of it, Ubisoft finally made it happen. Players will finally be able to decide the number of explosive pellets to deploy. Players have three choices between deploying the classic six charges or deploying four or two now for a total of 18 charges. Make good use of it!

DEFENDER EXIT SYSTEM

Ubisoft has changed the delay before a defender is spotted outside the building from three seconds earlier to just one second with the arrival of Operation Neon Dawn.

MAP POOL & RANKED

With each new operation, the map pool adapts. Operation Neon Dawn is no different. The Skyscraper rework is added to the map list as Outback takes its leave.

The seasonal charms are also very aesthetic of Asian and Eastern inspiration.

In conclusion, Operation Neon Dawn, like a breath of fresh air, brings a several new updates. The defense is given a brand new powerful and formidable anti-infiltration system. Attackers will have to think twice before entering the site. You will be able to take the opportunity to test Aruni and the changes made to the other agents on the new playground that Ubisoft has reserved for us with the Skyscraper rework and then get started in ranked to get one of these magnificent seasonal charms.

The new Operation Neon Dawn is to be tested on the TTS from November 9, 2020.

Guide to the new ESIX site! https://esportsview.fr/en/guide-to-the-new-esix-site/ Wed, 04 Nov 2020 16:27:06 +0000 https://esportsview.fr/?p=5212 First and foremost: welcome to our new home! Wipe your feet before entering, we hope you will feel comfortable at home.

You may have noticed that we have changed our logo. After 5 years of loyal service, it was time to refresh it all. Thanks to our graphic designer Fumikage (thanks bro <3) for this wonder! From now on, if you see an ESIX logo that is not this one, it won’t be us.

Let me walk you through this modest website. It does not claim to be the new benchmark of the French people but it can prove to be quite handy.

Let’s begin…

The home page!

You are stranded on this paradise page and you say, “Wow! How beautiful! Where to start?”. My role today is to help you find your way.
I invite you to look at the center of the visual. There you are, in your guide. In this same place will henceforth be our various articles, our last Youtube productions and guides, for example. On the left of your screen is the Menu but we will come back to it in more detail later in this guide.
On the right of your screen, the upcoming matches and the results. All the matches of the week and month are there before your eyes. It’s beautiful, isn’t it?
At the top, always on the right. Our social networks. We are very active on the networks and if you want more details, this is where it happens!

If you have a keen eye, you have not missed the French flag. This is because you have the choice of language. The English version also exists. Hello dear mates!

Agenda

451/5000What is an agenda you will tell me? It’s very simple ! It’s a table with lots of little boxes numbered 1 to 30 (or 31) that represents a month. You may notice that some numbers appear in yellow. These are match days! You wake up one morning and you say to yourself “Hey, I have nothing to do on Friday November 6, 2020 but what does Rainbow Six Siege esport have in store for me?” and the calendar will have the answer for you!

Articles & News

Unlike our previous site, we will not write an article for anything and everything. It will be original, new and really interesting content!

Competitions

To your left, in the menu, you will notice the MOST IMPORTANT tab of the site. The competitions. Those that are in progress, about to start, and those that have just ended waiting to be archived.
Let’s take a completely random example: the Six November Major.

Three main parts to focus on:

  • Upcoming matches: you will find all the upcoming matches, at least those that we know, of the competition with dates, times and obviously the teams that will compete.
  • Tournaments: in this specific example, you will find the different very distinct regions. And if you click on the region that interests you, the bracket appears!
  • Results: I may surprise you with this information but in this part you will find the results of the previous matches.

Please note that the Competitions tab is under construction. We are trying to add possibilities such as European League stage or the possibility of archiving and reviewing at will. But what would a site be when it first launched if there weren’t a few small issues, right?

Lives

For those of you who don’t know, we have a Twitch channel and sometimes things happen. We broadcast content, programs imagined and created by ourselves or competitions! Did I tickle your curiosity? All you have to do is follow ESIX_France!

Galleries

No more Google Drive that gets lost in the middle of social networks! All the photos taken since the creation of ESIX can now be found in this tab.
The gallery is a bit like a haven of peace in these difficult times. The health crisis (wear your masks, thank you.) prevents us from having new events and that makes us really very sad. In a fit of nostalgia, we take refuge in the memories of our galleries.
Treat yourself now from the Six Invitational 2018 to the Six Invitational 2020.
PS: don’t forget the credits!

Community

What would Rainbow Six Siege be without its community? Hint: nothing.
Each in your own way, you contribute to the success of the game. And some of you have an incredible talent and that is why today, we have created your own space.
Whether you are a cosplayer, an artist, or a skilled handyman, you have your place here. What is currently in place is a non-exhaustive list and we would be happy to add more!
We would like to point out that each image or name is clickable and refers you to the artist’s social networks.
Take a walk on this page which is full of wonders and discover new talents!

Association

In the Association tab, we present to you each member of our beautiful association that is ESIX. Our story, why we’re here, etc. Come say hello, we are (almost) all nice.
By the way, if a recruiter comes by … Hire us!

Store

We don’t know when, we don’t really know yet how BUT we are working on it and it’s coming soon!
You will be the first to know.

Thank you

Thank you for landing on our site, thank you for viewing this guide. I hope it has been useful to you and if you have any questions, we remain at your disposal.
We will do our best to make your life easier, this is our main goal.

A huge thank you to the Ingeesys team for the work done. Thanks to all the ESIX members who gave their lives to get everything ready. And thank you for following us for 5 years already. We love you!

ESIX is a media outlet focused on esports and gaming news for Rainbow Six Siege. It is managed by EsportsView Association, an organization of volunteers dedicated and passionate about esports.

Our mission? To ensure a regular cover of the various esport competitions offered by the Rainbow Six Siege game as well as various information concerning the game content. Most of our missions are taking place online but also in LANs in order to provide global coverage on our social networks.

Did you know that 13 volunteer members are part of this association?

And yes, everyone at ESIX is a volunteer. From the graphic designer to the video editor, from the community manager to the photographer. No one has ever been paid. And more ! When ESIX goes to an event to offer you on-site coverage, it is often at the expense of our members.
Why do we do it? For you ! We want to offer you the best: live results, great match posters, incredible photos, new content on Youtube, etc. Each member is driven by passion. But passion has its limits that cannot be controlled.

This is why we are calling on you!

ESIX cannot develop without YOUR help. We have lots of ideas for content, events to cover but we lack the means. We do not always have the equipment we need, the money for travel and accomodation, but also to organize contests for YOU!

We have created a Patreon where you can become one of the contributors to our community and access exclusive content. By integrating the ESIX community on Patreon, we will offer you rewards that match your commitment to thank you for keeping our media alive.

We invite you to Patreon by clicking on this link!
